Yes, we take all major debit and credit cards and contactless payment with no minimum value.
can i buy gift vouchers?
Yes, you can purchase gift vouchers for any amount from our shop and they are valid for 6 months.
are you family friendly?
Yes, we have highchairs, baby changing facilities and toys and books to keep little ones amused. We are a 100% gluten free environment and offer a range of gluten free baby food and children’s snacks and treats.
We welcome breastfeeding mums.
Do you have WiFi?
Yes, WiFi is free, unlimited and available to everyone.
Are you cyclist-friendly?
We LOVE cyclists. We have indoor storage space for up to four bikes and lots of energy-replenishing snacks. If your group is six or more it would help us to know so that we can serve you quicker (and not run out of sausage rolls!
Do you take debit cards, credit cards and contactless, Apple Pay etc?
Yes, we are happy to accept cards and contactless payment and there is no minimum value.
Can we use your space for group meetings and parties?
Yes, we are happy to discuss out of hours private hire for parties or meetings.
Smaller work or community group meetings can usually be accommodated in opening hours, talk to us first if your group is likely to be bigger than five people.
Do you offer decaf?
Yes, we have decaf coffee and tea and a range of naturally decaffeinated fruit and herbal teas.
Can I buy breakfast and lunch?
Yes, we are a coffee shop serving breakfast and lunch options. The menu changes daily but always includes a vegan soup and hot jacket potato filling in winter and plenty of sandwich choices which you can have as a bap, a bagel, a wrap, panini etc.
For breakfast, choose from porridge, toast, granola and yoghurt and sausage rolls. We often have waffles and bacon baps at weekends for a gluten free brunch.
Can I reserve a table?
We are a small independent coffee shop with just ten tables and so we don’t take reservations except for our special events.
Contact us if you want to know which times of the day are more likely to have free tables, especially if you are travelling some distance or bringing a large group.
I’m coeliac and suffer with small amounts of gluten. Can you guarantee no cross contamination?
All food and drink is gluten free and produced in a gluten free kitchen. We use GF oats but we are aware that not everyone can tolerate GF oats so please ask if you are unsure what our products contain.
Are all your products vegan?
We have lots of vegan options, please ask for details. We are expanding our selection of sweets and cakes for vegans.
I am dairy free, can you cater for me?
Yes, we have a range of milk alternatives (lactose-free, soya, oat, almond and coconut) for coffee, tea, hot chocolate and milkshakes and most cakes are made with dairy free butter alternative. We offer a vegan cheese alternative for lunches. We have dairy-free ice cream and sorbets.
Can I take away food and drink?
Yes, all food and drink is available to take away.
Who makes your cakes?
All cakes are home baked in Soham in my gluten free kitchen.
Do you allow dogs?
We have a small separate area with it’s own entrance and one table for dog owners to bring their well behaved pet. Please come to the rear of the shop and enter by the white door.
Do you have space for cycles?
We have indoor cycle storage space for up to four cycles. Unfortunately a tandem doesn’t fit (we tried it).
Can I sit outside at your place?
We are conveniently located in a conservation area on Soham’s main street with plenty of free parking just three minutes’ walk away. We have no outside seating but you can sit in our window and watch the world go by. On hot days you’ll be cooled by our air conditioning.
Do you have parking onsite?
We have a space at the rear for disabled/mobility-restricted guests and those bringing babies and toddlers.
The free public car park in Fountain Lane, next to St Andrews Church, children’s playground and the Fountain Inn is just three minutes’ walk from Gloof.
